I was supposed to play Poker today with the guys, for the first time in years, but I stayed home instead. Isaac’s sick and Amy was worn out. I took her and the boys to dinner instead. Then I played with the boys while she watered the plants and went to Target. Isaac kept having me run around the yard while he held onto my shirt. Toby played with the hose and got soaked. He was cracking up because Isaac kept kinking the hose and then letting the water go when Toby looked down at the hose. He got lots of water up his nose and didn’t care. Now Amy’s on facebook, reading her tweet deck and reading through blogs. She wanted me to write a blog entry because I’ve not been blogging, so I am, but I’d really hoped to spend Friday night with my wife at my fingertips instead of my computer. Oh well, it’s the digital age and she’s a woman on a mission. She’s making waves and having an impact and I applaud her for that. Tomorrow and Sunday I’ll have the kids all day and I will try and have fun with them despite the heat. Amy’s planning to sleep in, go to the gym, get her nails donw with her friend and then go to a bar tomorrow with her law friends. Sunday she’ll sleep in while I take the boys to church and then we’ll see what happens, but I know she has to write a chapter and read the law books she bought and do lots of tweeting and blogging, so I don’t expect to see her much this weekend. I treasure my time with her when I get it, which is why I skipped poker. I just wish I wasn’t getting so sleepy. I feel like an old man sometimes!
